FLITE Center (Fort Lauderdale Independence Training & Education Center) is a centralized facility in Broward County for dependent youth to learn the skills needed for independent living. At FLITE Center transitioning youth have access to a
wide array of providers of services they are eligible for all in one location.
Dear Shady Banks Neighbors,
After attending and Graduating from the City’s NLA Class #8 ( Neighborhood Leadership Academy), and in conjunction with the City, we are asked to help with a Community Project and we are doing a Donation Drive for the FLITE organization. These are foster children who turn 18 years old and out of the system and on their own.
Drop off- On Friday, May 14th from 5-6 PM- and Saturday May 15th from 9-10 a.m. at Hortt Community Center, we will accept donations of items from the list below- All new items please.
If you can not drop off, call or email me, and I can pick up.
