Hortt Park playground construction. The board has been in talks with the city of Fort Lauderdale for years to have the Hortt Park playground updated. Construction has now been scheduled, we hope to have a new playground before the end of the year, below is an update on the start of the project:
The playground construction is scheduled to begin 11/9 and could take 6 weeks.
The playground will be closed starting on 11/9 and for approximately 6 weeks.
It will be fenced off with orange safety fencing.
The installer will be occupying 5-7 parking spaces to the east side of the lot for equipment staging, dumpster, etc.
The remainder of the parking lot, community center and the rest of the park will be open as usual.
